Two weeks ago the Plan To Travel travel crew celebrated a birthday with a weekend trip to Vegas!!

We arrived Friday afternoon after a short 1.5 hour flight from SFO... It was an easy trip to make. We took advantage that one of our travelers had never been there before so we headed to the Famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign to take our touristic picture before heading to our hotel to check in (but first we hit up a liquor store).

Of course we had to arrive to the fabulous city in style... so we rented a Presidential Limo to get us to our destination of check-in. The driver was super friendly and we really enjoyed our time in our luxurious limo ride.

Our "Cheers" toast in the limo was one to remember and we really enjoyed out time driving around the fabulous city in such luxury.
On Friday night we headed over to the Excalibur Hotel to have dinner and a show. We really enjoyed "The Tournament of Kings". Our tomato soup appetizer, Cornish Game Hen and potato dinner, and apple pie dessert was delicious, and fun to eat, since it's a no utensil setting. We ate "Mid-Evil" style with ours hands and enjoyed the interacting with the audience type show that was presented to us. The 900 seated, round, arena theater was packed that night and we enjoyed watching kings joust and ride their horses around in front of us. We cheered them on as they challenged each other with sword fights in the competition. We even got light heartedly scared with the in-house fireworks throughout the show!! (It was exciting!)

Overall we definitely recommend this show to anyone visiting Vegas. It's a wholesome show appropriate for all audiences and ages. You really can't go wrong with this one.
On Saturday night we headed over to the Mandalay Bay hotel to watch the Michael Jackson One show... Wow, just WOW! In a one worded description, "UH-Mazing!"

This show was a beautiful mix of music, acrobats, and visual artistry that only a Cirque Du Soleil show can bring. We were entertained from the very beginning til the very end. The music was wonderfully chosen, the sets were entertainingly done, and the overall sound and magic the show provided was one of the best performances we'd ever seen. Definitely claimed a spot in our top 3 Cirque shows ever experienced.
It was a great performance, please do yourself a favor and check this out first hand if you get the chance to. Wonderful, wonderful show.

Overall our trip was a delightful one. We ate good food, saw wonderful things, and experienced Vegas unlike we had before... and we belive that's the beauty of Vegas, each visit can be so different than the last with so much to do and so much to see. It was one we'll always remember.
